Cut, and come again!
This winter season as we are cooking and prepping for the holidays one of the most important rolls in cooking is your herbs. Wether you have an herb window box outside or a small pot indoors for your herbs, we have some helpful tips that can give your herbs an extended life time!
We like to call it Cut, and come again!
When you reach for those yummy herbs to enhance your delicious cooking, bring a pair scissors! To help your herbs growth cut about an inch off the tips of the plant. For example a rosemary plant, you would cut about an inch off the top of the branches to help boost the growth.
For leafy plants such as lettuce. You can cut the plant down to about an inch above the dirt to help the new sprouts come through.
Other herbs and veggies that can follow these same tips are:
Arugula
Spinach
Basil
Beet Greens
Swish Chard
Chicory
Cilantro
Turnup Greens
Kale
Lettuce
Parsley
Radicchio
